Our Physiotherapy Treatments

Joint and Muscle Pain Management

Pain is a very common problem and can be acute (occurred for a short time) or chronic (occurred for a long time). Depending on the type, cause and duration of pain, there are many different scientifically proven approaches to manage it such as through manualtherapy, electrotherapy and exercise therapy.

Sports Recovery and Rehabilitation

Sports Recovery is our very own program created for sports enthusiasts involved in sports such as volleyball, basketball, football, golf, etc. to help treat and prevent injuries. It comprises a combination of various physiotherapy techniques that is effective in promoting muscle recovery and relaxation after an intense session of sports.

Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological physiotherapy involves the rehabilitation of people with neurological conditions. Some of the common neurological disorders like stroke, peripheral neuropathy, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease can be managed and show good results when treated with Physiotherapy.

Pediatric Rehabilitation

Pediatric rehabilitation is specially for newborns and babies, children and adolescents. The aim is to provide early intervention for children who may have neurological and developmental delays as well as sensory impairment like hearing and vision problems. Children who underwent surgeries can also benefit from pediatric rehabilitation to ensure they are able to function to their maximum ability as they grow. Methods like movement training, strengthening exercises, stretching and play therapy are used in our approach for Pediatric Rehabilitation.

Post-Surgery Rehabilitation

After any surgery, it is important to participate in Physiotherapy to regain mobility, reduce scar tissue sensitivity and to obtain maximal function. Various evidence-based protocols are used to ensure that your recovery does not over or under exert your body after the surgery. Our experienced physiotherapists incorporate the use of graded therapeutic exercises, scar massage and electrotherapy to aid you in your recovery
program.

Elderly Rehabilitation and Falls Prevention Program

It is best to be conducted as a preventive measure for elders above the age of 60 years old.

Ultrasound therapy is an effective treatment method for swelling management and soft tissues injuries. One of the therapeutic effects for which ultrasound has been used is in relation to tissue healing. It is suggested that the application of ultrasound to injured tissues will, amongst other things, speed the rate of healing & enhance the quality of the repair.

Electrotherapy

Electrical stimulating currents such as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) utilize electrical energy, the flow of electrons or other charged particles from one area to another, causing depolarization of muscle or nervous tissue. It is commonly used for the modulation of pain through stimulation of cutaneous sensory nerves and the following analgesic mechanisms.

GEMt Dry Needling

An Australian dry needling technique used to treat neuromuscular dysfunction, sports injuries and chronic pain. It is a treatment performed by skilled, trained physical therapists, certified in the procedure. Dry needling treats underlying muscular trigger points for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.

Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is low-intensity laser therapy that stimulates healing while using low levels of light. Low-level laser therapy can be used to decrease pain and inflammation, as well as prevent tissue damage.

Exercise Therapy

Therapeutic exercise involves movement prescribed to correct impairments, restore muscular and skeletal function and/or maintain a state of well-being. The most commonly included exercises fall into 4 groups: Strengthening exercises, endurance exercises, flexibility exercises and balance & coordination exercises.
